Carey's Bay Historic Hotel

This is such a lovely place and I particularly love their sunroom area. Have been here for events or just for casual meals out and I have never been disappointed. Their chips are yummy! Staff aren't overly friendly but they are efficient. Food is always fresh so they do sometimes run out of certain things but that just shows the quality of their meals.

Always quality food served professionally in a beautiful classic NZ environment. The seafood platter is amazing.

Great menu, beautiful location. However portion sizes very inconsistent. Food average. Staff friendly but service was slow.

If you like seafood you have got to eat here! We cake for lunch on a cold day it was so nice and warm inside we ordered a pint of Emerson's which they have on tap to sip on while looking over the menu. The staff here are friendly and attentive without being overbearing or pushy. We ordered the mussel pot and the whitebait special. We loved our meals they were so fresh and delicious. We will be back again without a doubt.

Nice location in carey's bay, good selection on the menu, food and portion sizes were okay. Staff are very friendly and helpful but service was a little slow.
