We had a party of around 12 come up to celebrate a birthday. To begin with, I did not receive my starter with the rest of the party, I waited so long I told the waiter not to worry about it anymore only to be told they had forgotten to do it. When the mains came out, two of us had ordered the steak with chips instead of vegetable, and two had ordered steak with vegetables not realising that the steak didn't automatically come with chips. The two of us that ordered steak with chips received the steak with vegetables because the waiter did not pay attention to who was ordering what, and when we mentioned we ordered chips instead of vegetables, the offered to take our meals back and redo them which meant we would have to wait for the meals to be remade while everyone else ate. Another one of the part members couldn't even eat their pasta it was so over cooked. This party member received a full discount of her meal which was great, but the whole evening was ruined because of all the mistakes made.

Great food selection and atmosphere. Really nice comfortable seating as well. Super friendly helpful staff. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Best place to get coffee in Balclutha

My hubby got the steak in the jus, he ordered it medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. It came with veges and hand cut chips - all were great.

For dessert hubby had the brownie and I had the warm pear and almond tart - both were lovely and we only didn't manage to finish it off due to the fact that we were absolutely stuffed.
