Villa Maria Estate Ltd

My experience overall was absolutely fantastic, coming to the vineyard it feels like those moments where as a pauper you are riding into some persons fancy estate as you loop around the field. With some fabulous weather, we were able to clearly see the vineyard in all of its glory. You feel a feeling of peace when you're at Villa Maria, the lush green around you definitely impacts your sensors as you automatically feel more relaxed. Sitting outside the light breeze really made for an epic dining experience.

When I have a couple of hours at Auckland airport, I often go to Villa Maria and enjoy some good wines and perhaps but a few. The staff is always friendly and caters well for the patrons.

We had a catch up lunch at Villa Maria and the venue was beautiful, lush green with the golden rays of the sunshine dancing over the grape wines set amongst the vibrant powder blue sky.

You could hear the murmur of patrons from parking up so the anticipation was great. Upon entering the premises, the Cellar Door invited us. A showcasing of wine lined the walls and staff were ready to field enquiries or assist. Through to the Vineyard Cafe, the dining room which poured outside on to a patio area, was modest looking but very much bustling with celebratory patrons in their grouped tables for birthdays, hens parties and other relaxed diners.

The staff was impressively attentive from the moment we entered and we were seated at our table and provided menus.

Besides a bottle of Pinot Noir, we ordered the garlic prawns, fish of the day - hapuka with breads and dips to begin. The meals were exquisite in flavour, texture and aroma. It really was a harmonious dining experience of scenery, food, wine and cherished company.

To follow for desser we enjoyed a cheese platter and a mango pana cotta with coffees. It was a beautiful palate cleanser and perfect end to a leisurely lunch.

I definitely will return again to sample more of their menu and enjoy the excellent service all over again. Highly recommended with distinction!

Really nice Vineyard in a great location. I love just driving through sometimes.

Food is very nice, most staff are friendly but there was one waitress was very rude and showed attitude even tho the place wasn't busy and told me that no seat. from that point on I stopped coming to this place. Other than that it is a nice scenery and excellent food and desert - my fav was the cheesecake.
