Created in 2000, Tonic has quickly established itself as one of the top boutique beauty therapist salons in West Auckland. First established in a dedicated studio flat in Titirangi, it had well and truly outgrown is original premises by 2004 and was looking for somewhere to grow. After several years of research, the current Palmers Garden Centre site in Glen Eden was decided on as the perfect place for Tonics expansion. The Palmers site has several obvious advantages such as ample parking, walk by traffic, and a cluster of other complimentary businesses, without having the feel of a "shopping mall" type operation, and without it being yet another suburban beauty therapy business in "residential house" conversion. A considerable amount of planning and sheer hard work has gone into getting "it right" at Tonic, from the quality of design and fit out, to most importantly providing a top quality service. We offer our clients friendly & personal service in a peaceful environment. The salon employs four therapists and we use Sothys skincare products in most of our treatments. We have a loyal and active clientele from word of mouth and local advertising and of course from the walk by traffic at Palmers. Kim Buckley/Director Kim is well respected in the industry and has worked as a Beauty Therapist in the western districts since 1990. She has a hands-on approach to business, ensuring high quality service from herself and her employees. She attracts regular and loyal custom locally, and from as far a field as Remuera, North Shore and Helensville, In fact there are a number of the ex-pat Aucklanders who have shifted as far a field as Otago & Canterbury, who still make visiting Tonic a priority when they are in town. Through the years she has pursued further knowledge with post graduate study in beauty treatments, business and staff management. The Tonic Vision Kim's goal is to see Tonic evolve into one of Auckland's' premier salons. Offering an extensive range of beauty therapy and spa treatments, and with the current expansion provide more involved health and relaxation experiences.
