The Postman’s Leg is a vibrant, unique take on gastropubs that has locals flocking together for a beer and a bite, enjoying the expansive courtyard. Long before the dog and bone, news spread as far as the postman could roam. Legend tells of a Glenfield hero, a postie who left his mark. An amputee by virtue of a sawmilling tragedy, he refused to let this put him on the back foot. Fashioning a D.I.Y. harness for his horse, he simply changed careers. For 16 years, rain, hail or canine, he provided a lifeline to the locals. So charge your glass as we salute a man with an iron will and a leg of wood.

Great family friendly place. Great selection of beers and wines totally recommend the service here. It is so relaxed and pleasant, the atmosphere. I really enjoy their sharing dishers most of all. Tip Top stuff.

Night we attended had live music. Lovely friendly staff, provided great service all night. Had house special fish was very satisfied.

Would highly recommend this place. It was an awesome sunny outdoor space for an event. Trampoline, sandpit, playground for the kids and dogs even welcome outside. There was also free face painting, a bouncy castle and a live band the Sunday we were there. We will be back.

Now you're probably thinking, 'a bar/pub in Glenfield that people actually go to?' but yes Sir, this place is outstanding! Probably the best bar location on the shore for;
- It's outdoor area
- Big sports games (big screens in and out, tab)
Really good for a chilled out drink with friends or a rowdier night on Friday / Saturday.
Not only that, but the food... Well thought out menu that will have even a seasoned diner tossing up a few options!
