The Indian Kitchen Restaurant & Takeaways

I don't know if Howick Village Diners really need the choice of the five Indian Restaurants that they now have, but they still do need this first-comer. Indian Kitchen curries (especially their butter chicken) are consistently delicious and are always made to the right degree of hotness depending on your choice. The service is freindly and efficent and you will be remembered by name on the subsequent visits that you are sure to make after first tasting their food. My preference is for their great value takeaways but my small gripe is that you have to manoeuvre through the diners in the small restaurant to get to the counter - not really ideal for the diners either. Rearranging or increasing the size of the restaurant may be an idea especially as I'm sure the Indian Kitchen will be one of the long-term stayers in Howick.

Top notch curries and friendly service. Great at looking after their regulars. Haven't had a better butter chicken anywhere.

small little place easy to be missed. But its a curry delight. If you fancy indian food, this is a must try..
hardly any seating but i guess this is more of a takeaway joint. They run $10 curry specials for 4 days a week. Portion is generous and food is good.

I have been a customer for over a year now (was recommended by my brother). I mostly get takeaway. I find the $10 special that runs from Monday to Thursday great value for money ! It is a good portion size and comes with rice. The service is always good and the owner makes the effort to know his customers, The place is always busy. I have recommended this place to my friends who have been and love it. Great work team.

This is our go-to Indian Takeaway. Great tasting curries & naan bread. Have also tried samosa & onion bhaji entrees which were also very nice. Wait time is reasonable and they have some good specials running during the week.
