The Fishmonger St Heliers Bay

Isn't seafood delicious and doesn't it go down just right when it's so amazing! I come here with the boys every Friday night for my favourites; beer battered chips, the infamous salmon kebabs, and battered snapper. My kids prefer the burgers (they're so large they never get finished) and the hubby just loves the snapper :-) Great times with the family

Im a huge fan of fish and chips, but have been disappointed so many times due to the quality of food at some places. I like to try different places, so that I can keep my options open when travelling around auckland, and I came across this little gem. Just ordered an egg burger, a fish and some chips. My oh my, the batter on the fish was nice, not thick and drowning my actual fish, and the chips were cooked in clean oil - the chips werent drenched in oil, so they were drained very well before being wrapped.
Now I visit everytime I am in the area!

Really nice fish and chip shop with a great collection of fresh seafood. Just across the road from Dominos. Buy your fish and chips here then walk down to the beach about 3 minutes walk away to eat them. Great experience. Always a good choice, even better now that the popular Fish Pot Cafe in Mission Bay has closed down due to lease expiry. Worth popping in to if you're in St Heliers.

A fantastic Fish & Chip Shop! This is my local...I’ll always come back because the fish is always fresh & the food is always delicious! Whether your after fresh fish to take home and cook or takeaway these guys never fail to disappoint.
