      Tama Eatery & Bar in Upper Queen St was a exciting new find and wonderful Nepalese dining experience. The restaurant was quaint and modest appearing yet staff was very hospitable, warm and welcoming.

      I had a mixed berry lassi due to the humidity and it was refreshing. To start, I ordered pork steamed dumplings served spicy and these were some of THE best ever dumplings I’ve tried. The filling was flavoursome, right amount of casing and gorgeous chilli gravy on top!

      My main was the chicken Nepalese curry with rice and roti. This was rustic yet exceptional. I requested the curry be served very hot and it was delivered so, perfectly. The gravy was so fragrant, aromatic and other worldly on my palate. I was most delighted, so much so that I want to return to try more of the menu. The cuisine was worth the wait time! Highly recommended!

      Tama Eatery & Bar on Upper Queen St, CBD, was a fantastic exciting dining experience to have, trying out Nepalese cuisine. The restaurant was very quaint and modest looking and staff was super hospitable and welcoming.

      Don't expect fancy surroundings or location. But do expect good Nepalese food and smiling faces. I had the Big Big and didn't manage to finish it but gave it a good try. It is a typical Nepalese set of dishes and all very tasty. give yourself a change and give this place a try. There are steps down into the inside of the restaurant so may not be good if you have difficulty there.
