Star Cafe Seafood Restaurants

We go here often as we find the yum cha places in Papatoetoe very sub-standard and the quality of the food not so good. Food is fresh and tastes great. The variety is also very good.

Yummy tasty yum char. I recommend the chicken feet and the tripe. Both done classically although I have had tripe lightly curried before which I also like. Nevertheless very nice. Har gow with coriander pretty standard with loads of flavor. Custard tarts delicious too! BBQ pork good with plenty of crispy skin to go with it. Duck was good however I wasn't game to try the ducks tongues; maybe next time. Bak choy with oyster sauce nicely cooked. Siu mai (pork and prawn dumplings) pretty standard, tasty. Service good with pleasant well-mannered young team of staff circulating fairly continually. Attentive service. I enjoyed the dining.
