Scarecrow

Scarecrow is always a great spot for lunch in the city. Their cabinet is interesting and you can browse the shelves while you wait. The service is quick but not overly friendly (although that doesn’t detract from the service). There are plenty of vegetarian choices. The coffee isn’t great but it’s certainly drinkable.

High quality organic food and beverage, kind service and good coffee. I had toasted Salmon Bagel and Flatwhite. Salmon, capers, cream cheese, avo and a bit of salad in the bagel. But though I find the bagel overly toasted and hard to bite, still not bad. Worth to try.

We visited at around 1pm. Usual lunch crowd but quite dim inside and atmosphere lacking (couldn't quite put my finger on it!), maybe some light background music needed.

Ordered a salmon bagel. The DIY aspect was quirky and allows you to customise your toppings, I think I'd prefer it already put together though. The salmon was perfectly smoked and salted and the cream cheese was delicious. The bagel didn't hit the mark for me though, didn't have that nice chewiness and denseness I like. I still enjoyed the dish overall. They also had a range of salads in the cabinet which looked nice, but overall the menu seemed a bit flat for my tastes. Think it's nice place for a coffee, pastry and a browse.

Good location, but a tad too small for my liking. Ive only eaten breakfast here, just a simple eggs on toast, but believe it or not, not everyone cooks scrambled eggs properly. These are cooked perfectly everytime here, which is why I will keep coming back.

Have been here for breakfast and got the smoked fish cake which was top knotch! The fish was cooked perfectly, the dish was a good size for the price that I paid and the service was nice. What topped my morning off though was the selection of handmade chocolates they have!!! Soooooo tasty, melts in your mouth, a bitesized mouth full of sheer divine!!!
