My first impression of the place was it had a tired looking decor, however the tasty dishes far outweigh the tired decor. Always filled with customers. Always craving for their fried calamari/squid - absolutely well worth the drive from the North Shore. Highly recommend this delightful place. Great food all the time.

Legendary stir fry beef and noodles with side order of spring rolls never disappoints. One of if not the best Vietnamese restaurants out there. Speaks volumes when restaurants like Sam Woo gets more customers coming through the door than the other food places in the area.

The food was great and very tasty, they give large portions for a very reasonable price. Their place is quite big and can accommodate large groups if you want to invite some friends. We loved the authenticity of the vietnamese foods. The only problem we had was the car park, not enough car park, even the offstreet parking was so full as well everytime we go there

Nothing had changed we loved the food vietnamese spring rolls chicken fried rice and our favourite cubed pepper fillet steak, just delicious.

Rated not for ambience, but for value of money and quality of Vietnamese food. Great standard and big portions. Worth what you pay and is the best of all 3 Vietnamese restaurants on the same block.
