Riverhead The

Came here a few weeks ago for dinner. Love the location and the staff are really friendly. The food is amazing, had the burger which was really good. Prices are really affordable and the have a great drinks list. Would definitely recommend.

Nice relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. Friendly staff. Meals were good sized and delish. High chairs were not suitable for under 1 year. They were SKEP brand which arent very supportive. Thankful they had a change table in the outside disabled toilet.

Usually pretty good! Came here on Father’s Day and both of mine and my husbands poached eggs were basically hard boiled inside, sent them back, and we unfortunately were the very last ones to eat our lunch at the table. Another member of our party’s had the seafood chowder but it was like water with a few shells in it. Had to also ask for some bread with it because it came with none. The next day we were invited to dinner at the Riverhead and a member of our party ordered the chowder and it had actually looked like chowder! It was creamy, thick and had a lot more shells in it. Wasn’t impressed with the inconsistency. It seems to be a regular pattern now. Seems like that portage bar food is better these days than the actual restaurant food.

Nice venue and atmostphere. The menu is just fancy pub grub though and with a higher price tag than what its counterparts down the road would be. Nice place for a drink but wouldn't stay for a meal again.

Really nice restaurant with a bar area next door. Lovely outlook onto the riverhead and nice open windows and a lovely wee deck for dining in warmer weather. The food is yum, we enjoyed the ribs, the fish and chips, the squid and some nice coffees. We did however have quite a wait on our desserts but it was a busy day so pretty understandable. The wait staff are great however there is one waitress I don't enjoy being served by, and I make a point to be seated away from the tables she regularly waits on.
