Gorgeous little hidden gem, dog friendly courtyard out the back away from the crowds very cute and different from anywhere else in takapuna

Nice place that we found, I loved the whole atmosphere that came with the place. The service we got was top notch and the staff were friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and was presented very well. Coffee was average I thought. I highly recommend this place

My husband and I came here for the first time, it had a beautiful courtyard seating area and the menu looked good, but we waited around 40 minutes for our food to arrive and people who came after us got served before us. I've rated a one because the wait staff were very friendly and apologetic, when it wasn't their fault at all and offered one of meals for free. Once the food had arrived, it was the most awful food I've ever had. We both had "The Plum Bene", the eggs were over cooked, the corn fritters were soggy, and not crispy as expected. It was like a vomit on a plate. I've never experience such terrible food like I have here.

Previously known as Latin Larder, but rebranded to Plum Tree Courtyard Cafe, the front and direct inside space is very quaint and cute, but the cafe expands to the courtyard out back.

We came in for lunch before a stage show and we were completely captivated by the outside blackboard special of eggs Benedict with fresh seasonal asparagus and tarragon hollandaise. Enthralled by the anticipation of trying this dish, I ordered it without hesitation, requesting for the eggs to be scrambled instead, and I absolutely enjoyed every bite!

The coffee and customer service was excellent and other dishes ordered were the berry pancakes with mascarpone and Thai beef salad and the table was truly impressed and we were all well sated with sung praises all round.

I highly recommend this cafe with distinction!
