Petra Shawarma

Petra Shawarma is family owned and operated by sisters who take great pride in the Kordanisn heritage and food. When you enter this intimate cafe, the modest looking decor with embellishments of cultural artefacts, warm you and then you get to order off a tick menu.

I tried the Mandi Rice and was overwhelmed with the beautiful fragrant tastes and tones of each component on the dish. I absolutely loved this dish and to accompany it, I ordered a raspberry Barbican. This is a traditional malted beverage which went perfectly with my main.

Service was so warm and friendly and it feels like you're sharing something special when you partake in this soulful food. Highly recommended with distinction!

Wonderful menu and incredible flavors. A classic restaurant.
Food was lovely, but a bit over seasoned. Staff very attentive and we enjoyed the live music.

The wait is worth it. Flavours were bright, refreshing and fragrant, with a homemade feel. One of my favourite places in Auckland.

Friendly atmosphere in a very cute place, and with great service. We had vegetarian and gluten free and that was no problem at all.Nice dish, tastes fabulous, great portions. Will be back.Highly recommended.

Really nice food, lovely place and amazing service. Although we have spent little time in the restaurant, we enjoyed the food especially fatoosh, hummus and filafil was yummy. Keep the good work. I would strongly recommend everyone to try the food.
