Ott Patisserie

Great speciality bakery and a wonderful in store vibe. On site European baker really adds a point of difference. I like to buy treats here and take them home when I have guests over and I don't have time to bake something special.

This is an absolutely wonderful patisserie. I was lucky enough to find them when I was working in Birkenhead. Depending on where I’m staying, like hike out to Birkenhead from orewa or mission bay to get my hands on a pistachio Elaclaire or a sleeping apple (?). It’s a peeled and sliced apple that retains its shape and is filled with custard and currants or raisins then baked in a lovely fluffy pastry envelope. It’s absolutely unreal.

Very cute bakery in a lovely area. a smorgesborde of fine treats. what an adventure.

Clean pastries (as in they're not saturated in fats and oils) and full sandwiches and rolls. Aint nothing more disappointing than getting a pie and biting into it to find that it is half empty - thats not the case with the pies here.
