Orakei Bay Village

It’s been a while since I visited Orakei Bay Bistro and I was so excited about the new brunch/lunch menu.

I truly was spoiled for choice and settled in trying the chilli scrambled eggs with Shiraz reduced waawaqmushrooms and crispy potato and athe heirloom beetroot ash goat cheese with hazelnut granola salad.

Both dishes were divine and paired well with my Barossa Valley Shiraz. Yet again, exceptional cuisine and service is spectacular!

I recently visited The Barnacle, a small bistro restaurant tucked in behind Beothers Beer at Orakei Bay Village, and as it was a gorgeous day outside I wanted to try a new eatery here.

The service was fantastic, warm and inviting and the menu was extremely impressive getting choose from a myriad of seafood items, turf and of course their famous oysters.

Wanting try a few items, I fell in love with the roasted purple and orange beetroots with tofu mousse. It was the most exquisite tasting dish both flavour and texture wise and it was only a side! My pan seared crispy snapper was nice with accents of pomegranate and my other side of blue vein dressed corn kernel and popcorn cos lettuce was interesting.

Overall, I look forward to returning to try other dishes to be wowed again and fall in culinary love again!

So many delicious boutique products! I wouldn’t do my whole grocery shop here as it’s too expensive, but love treating myself to one of their beautiful salads or a specialty/ health product every now and again. It’s very clean and organised and the staff are friendly. Fruit and vegetables aren’t too badly priced either. Only downside is the parking/ getting in and out.

I was so highly impressed by the lay out and flow through appeal of this new Farro Fresh store, especially with the cafe section and patisserie.

The espresso is fantastic and staff are very friendly and attentive. It felt like an even more elevated shopping experience at this market compared to the usually high standards of other Farro Frsh stores.

It really is a highlight in the new Orakei Bay Village complex, because there isn't much more to fully feel engaged in.

Farro Orakei Bay Village is one of the most impressive Farro stores I have visited with an easy to follow flow and store lay out and wonderfully friendly staff.
