Easily the best Indian restaurant in Auckland. Nice range of vegetarian dishes and good service. A little expensive though

Our first visit to Oh Calcutta. I like Indian food but I don't love it. But after this visit to Oh Calcutta I would have to say I loved it here. All the dishes our group had were beautiful. Spicy but full of flavour. Their beef dishes are made with eye fillet and their chicken dishes with thigh. All tender and flavoursome. Their poppadoms are really nice too - served with an array of condiments they were beautiful. Will be back.

I heard a lot of positive reviews about this restaurant so I had really high expectations. But I wasn't quite impressed with the quality of the food. Everything seemed to have a lot of sweetness to it. On a more positive note, the service, ambiance and the location were all great.

The food here is simply outstanding. Service is immaculate. The chicken biryani is superb. You won’t find a better lamb saagwala anywhere.
