O'Connell St Bistro

This is a great place to go to for pub grub really warm, inviting and laid back atmosphere. Really good for steaks and roasts, better than mothers cooking, easily. Nice to have a drink and a good selection between craft beer and wine. Will come again.

Managed to get a last minute booking at a lovely outdoor table with nice weather. The Staff were outstanding and the food was to perfection. Parking was convenient just around the corner on Shortland Street.

Best steak tartare in Auckland. Great intimate setting. Perfect for a date or a small gathering of friends. Decent wine selection.

Superb hospitality from being warmly greeted to Beung seated for silver dinner service until departure. The restaurant is beautiful and intimate feeling yet with a grand appeal.

We were treated to complementary house breads and a palate appetiser being I departed for heaven with a stunning smoked crayfish ravioli with a porcini foam. Following the entree I enjoyed the porcini risotto with mixed wild mushrooms and a side dressed salad which was exceptional. Closing with a rhubarb and custard dessert, I was well sated and in bliss.

Highly recommended for a special occasion or for a romantic date if you're looking to impress!
