Rented a truck for one day on the Saturday, got charged for two after arranging over the phone to return 15 minutes past closing time. $75 dollar a day rental has turned in to $300+ rip off. Totally unscrupulous ripoff merchants. Rude, bad attitude from the douchebag at reception and totally unacceptable excuse of "we're closed on Sunday so we charged you through to monday, its our company policy" to rip people off apparently. WARNING to everyone - Completely avoid this company.

Metro rentals has been a life saver for me a couple of times now. Be it shifting house or looking for a minivan to set up as a camper at late notice these guys have delivered repeatedly. The rental process is very streamlined and you can be in and out within 10 minutes. I recommend you book ahead for some of their more specialised vehicles.

Hi I'm came from Australia to visit friends and family and hired a van from metropolitan rentals guy's this was my first and last hired from metropolitan rentals was very bad experience with them not recommended to any of my auckland family and friends or anyone else

Never use that company. shocking service. when we rented the car and talked to the staff that we will be returning the car after they close the office and there won't be extra charge, the staff said fine (twice we checked). But when the bond was returned, with no apparent reason, an extra day was charged from the bond ($61) and how much did they charge for petrol? ($73 which is way too much) (no break down given). The reason they asked for $500 bond is to treat people like that ... to take whatever money from that bond. The bond was returned only many days later. the staff who answered the phone was very rude. (my rating -1)
