Maki Mono

I love the black rice sushi, which you don't seem to be able to get at other sushi places.

Absolutely delicious sushi and related food available. Staff are very friendly and more than accommodating if you have any particular request. Very fresh.

I stop in to the store outside Countdown in Ponsonby from time to time. Well stocked with good selection. Friendly staff.

Sushi chain with 4 locations in Auckland. I went to the one at Sylvia Park. There are a few sushi places spread through Sylvia Park; Maki Mono is the one near The Warehouse. They have a good range. I like their fresh salmon rolls and they can make them with brown rice instead of white.

The sushi from Maki Mono always seems fresh and tasty. I also love their crunchy chicken don, which I often order. I like the addition of pickles they add into the bowl which not all places give. Really enhances the flavour of the chicken. Yum!
