This shop is a haven for magazine lovers from Vogue to National Geographic. There are even magazines on architecture, construction and cars for boffins. You can never go wrong with a place like Mag Nation

Excellent shop in Ponsonby Road that has a great range of magazines (current editions) from around the world. I think it's one of the best magazine shops in Auckland, that air freights in latest magazines direct from overseas publishers. I like the Retro Gamer magazine personally (as just one example) - other shops sell this but they're often a few months behind. Mag Nation always has the latest edition (and the pricing is only a couple of dollars more than other stores with older copies).

Alongside the magazines, Mag Nation also has a good range of gifts and novelty items. Jigsaws, desk calendars, wooden kitsets, birthday cards - all can be found here.

It's sad that magazines are becoming a thing of the past so thankfully this shop is still around. They have some great toys and models as well as an awesome selection of magazines.

It's a pity they have close the other branches in Auckland such as Newmarket and Queens Street. This is definitely the go to for all air freighted mags, difficult to find, and the usual. They can organise subscriptions for you to be delivered to your house or to collect here, brilliant service, the staff always recognises you. They have a loyalty card which is useful. Also a separate section for gift, design and coffee table books and gifts as well. The interior is well spaced, not crammed, and the magazines are very easy to locate.
