Mad Samurai

I tried Mad Samurai upon venturing through Snickel Lane so developed an urge for sashimi. Staff was super friendly and hospitable you would expect of Japanese restaurants, and I was warmly greeted and seated. The attentiveness of my waitress was impressive.

Given all the exciting items on this atypical Japanese lunch menu, I decided to try the vegetarian fresh spring rolls with sesame dressing, the tuna tataki with miso jello and the chicken katsu with kimchi mayo and konkatsu sauce on Japanese salad. I also enjoyed a glass of plum wine which was heavenly.

I thoroughly enjoyed the spring rolls and tataki. The salad with the katsu was fantastic to mask that the meat was slightly over fried and beyond golden. Overall, Mad Samurai was lovely and worth another visit.

A cosy place with a funky and modern environment. Suitable for events as well I guess. The food is nice. Sukiyaki is a little small though. It’s a really nice choice for a relaxed Japanese dinner with good prices.

The staffs are exemptional and very accomodating. The food are awesome, we had wagyu beef, miso, gyoza and chicken karaage. NY cheesecake for my bday cake is superb! we will definitely coming back.

I had Sushi set, curry and matcha ice cream,these were fantastic!!! And, waitresses were also very friendly. I could have great time there.

A very boutique and intimate restaurant. The food prices are on the high side but we were very happy with the food. We had chicken karage, pork dumplings, chicken, prawn sushi rolls and chicken katsu. Everything were delicious but our fav were the sushi rolls and dumpling. Simply tasty. Highly recommend.
