Mad Mex

Conveniently located in the city it is the place I go to eat Mexican food, mainly burritos. I also love their fries.
Quick service, you also order online before going to pick up. The male manager is nice but the lady could be a little more polite to customers. They also have a good loyalty app which gives you $5 when you first sign up

Visited once and although tasty, the meat was too oily and also cold.

Location is handy, being next to Fort Lane in central Auckland. Food offering was tasty (I had a beef burrito with salads etc), but watch if they ask you if you want additional items like meat and avocado - these are charged additionally to the main price, but it's not obvious when putting the order together. So my $12 burrito with drink became about $19. There's a cheaper and better kebab shop along the road if you just want that style of food. But the Mad Mex menu is pretty comprehensive, with a whole range of Mexican foods including Nachos, salads etc.

Worth a visit, great to pad your stomach if you've been having a few drinks. But budget around $20 per person, from my own experience.

I'll skip this place. There are better Mexican options around this place.

I felt the food wasn't fresh and the service was unwelcoming.

I ALWAYS use these folks for company lunches. They're always fast, nice, and they get the orders right every time!! They're busy for good reason! They also do great discounts if you do a bulk (i.e. company) order.
