Living Simply is Auckland's independent hiking, camping and travel store established in 1988, the first in Newmarket, Auckland. We are all outdoor tramping enthusiasts happy to professionally fit hiking boots, backpacks and alpine gear personally to suit you! We stock a wide range of outdoor clothing, waterproof jackets and pants, sleeping bags. Come to us for maps of New Zealand walks, travel gear, outdoor cooking equipment, sun hats, beanies and dehydrated food. Plus if you are short on time or can't get what you want, we ship our outdoor gear New Zealand wide. Three things set Living Simply apart from other outdoor stores: 1) Our knowledgeable expert service - we are all hikers ourselves and want the best for our customers 2) Our personal fitting service - we measure your feet to make sure tramping shoes, sandals, and boots actually fit 3) Our wide range of quality outdoor brands including New Zealand's own Earth Sea Sky clothing and Aarn Packs We hire outdoor gear: boots, backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, rain jackets, rain pants, walking poles, personal locator beacons, crampons and ice axes at really reasonable rates. This is excellent if you are going on a school camp, travelling from overseas, or wanting to get into hiking or mountaineering because it allows you to try things out.
