services was good, not as busy as some other la porchetta stores. food was ok, but doesn't have their own parking space

A bit of a disaster for Italian food really. Known for big portions but have been a couple of times and not impressed. I got a pasta which had avocado listed as part of the dish. There was no visible avocado and they fed back that it was all mixed in to the sauce and then chucked in a teeny fingernail bit of avocado in there. What was that. There is only the one pasta dish I ever get when I go there. The Ponsonby branch once did a stuffed pizza which was really good and it was like a pizza pie. I had the same thing at another branch and that was serioiusly a disaster and disappointed, a flat thing.

Delicious Italian pizza, pasta is also very tasty. The restaurant is clean and well organised. Customer service was excellent! Parking is an issue from time to time, a really frustrating one

I know they're not exactly 5 star - but they are one of the few restaurants I've come across in the city, who can actually cook my steak medium rare. It's really good value for decent food that will really fill you up - seriously, the plates are big. I wouldn't dine unless I had missed breakfast & lunch or if you're with someone who can help finish off your plate. Great service and there is some parking available (you'll need to go into the restaurant first to validate your parking). I don't understand the packet tomato sauces on the plates when most of the meals come with some sort of dressing/freshly made sauce? Very kid-friendly too.
