Kiwi International Hotel

Budget accommodation in central Auckland. Great staff, lost my camera on the premises and a staff member found it and returned it to me.

Whilst this hotel is conveniently located to many cafes, restaurants, bars, superettes, parking and liquor shop in the heart of the city near K Rd, it really should not be called a hotel.

It's very cheap accommodation most similar to a hostel, rather than a hotel, where you are required to use communal bathrooms and toilets. The hotel looks nice from outside but upon going to your room, the decor of the corridors and rooms are highly outdated and modest, most disappointing, if you thought you were staying in a hotel.

They offer first in first serve parking spaces for $20 or you can overnight park at Wilsons across the road for $40 for 24 hours. A dining room is available but I didn't dare venture.

I wouldn't ever stay here again but it's definitely a cheap hotel, very affordable accomodation, but really the word "hotel" is misleading.
