Gina's Italian Kitchen

This place has a nice Italian feel. It is well decorated and it has a vibrant Italian atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered pasta and it was just fresh and very tasty. I love it!!! The staff were so nice and they were very chatty and friendly. They had a nice selection of wine which went well with the food.

Where to start!? The friendly staff, the great starters, the amazing homemade pasta or the extensive range of wines and liqours from Australia and further afield!? I've been here a few times and keep coming back for more. Try the ox tongue or venison carpaccio for starters, and any of the pasta on special!

Great atmosphere including the singing from the kitchen in Italian...just priceless!!! The food is superb as well...definitely a palce to check out!!

Bit of a disaster that time. Went with high hopes because it is one of the older Italian restaurants in Auckland city. However, so disappointed. The food was more like Kiwi Italian but not only that, there was a huge wait. It was a busy night probably due to a game or a large group. Food took about 40 minutes to arrive. Not only that, one of the mains did not come out until everyone else was finished. The manager was aware of that the whole time and apologetic. But seriously, it is not what you expect with a well known place with red checkered tablecloths, and being greeted like you were in Italy. The 1.5 star is for the manager checking up on us and the decor.
