Food-Alley

Lovely Thai food from the Food Alley, seatings are limited and it's quite busy between 12 and 1pm on workdays but they have such a great variety of meals and meats. Very quick service too.

I was wary when my partner took me to Food Alley (it wasn't the cleanest of places), but was really pleasantly surprised once our meals came out. The katsu curry I ordered from one of the Japanese outlets was one of the nicest I've ever eaten, and it was so cheap, too!

What they lack in ambience - it's essentially a large food court, and not a particularly clean-looking one - they more than make up for in their food. Whether you're after dumplings, a good curry, Pad Thai or Japanese, Food Alley offers just about every kind of Asian food outlet you could dream of, and at bargain prices. Bonus: they also stock and serve alcohol, too.

It is a great place for takeaway food but also to sit down in a simple but clean and friendly setting. The Indian food isn't to our taste, but the Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese hotpot, Chicken specialist and Japanese are fantastic.

Awesome foodcourt! Hidden in the backstreets of central Auckland you're always promised a very tasty and cheap meal! Heaps of food vendors to choose from!
