Family Bar

Cool place with wild west decor. Gets very very busy but the security and staff and really nice and keep it running smooth. Not a huge fan of their karaoke it's very loud. They have a cordoned off smoking area and pokie machines. Not the best bar in the area

This bar is not what it used to be and that is sad as it was once a bit of an Auckland gay institution. Still has a good vibe when it's busy, but unfortunately that isn't very often. Decent drinks and mostly good music.

Great bar but it does get very very crowded on weekends. Staff aren't the friendliest.

The garden area at the back is pretty nice and it has a bar there too. Its a bit airy compared to the rest of the place. In front of that there is the saloon bar that does Karaoke most nights. Very fun.

The rest is just a club and the toilets and dangerously filthy.

A GLBT friendly venue, but open to all. Can get crowded on Friday and Saturday nights - it has some of the best dance floor music in Auckland. Little local secret that the DJ booth has the old DJ frontage that was at Boogie Wonderland club originally (now closed) - still a very cool thing to look at! There are free "drag" shows once or twice a night on Friday / Saturdays - female impersonators show their stuff on stage.

Not a venue for food - but certainly drinks are available and flowing - and at typical bar prices. Free water available on the bar counters. Being in K Rd, you will see and meet a wide variety of people here. The club has a unique vibe that's all about living the moment. Free entry makes it a must see for any tourist to Auckland that enjoys a good boogie with lively locals.
