Depot Eatery & Oyster Bar

We went here recently before a concert - it was a great place to begin the night, excellent food, lively atmosphere, with top notch service to boot. Can't help but call in here when visiting Auckland's CBD.

Love the atmosphere in this place. The food is great, and they have wine (even rose!!) on tap. Brilliant, low-key, yet stylish place to enjoy some company.

I love oysters and this is an excellent place to come and get them, they always go down great with a beer or wine. Friendly staff.

Amazing place right next to the casino and tower. Always packed it seems. Menu changes daily. Portion sizes are small to medium but the taste and quality is excellent. Pricey but well worth it!

And here started my love affair with freshly shucked oysters. If your taste-buds are yet to be blessed - then know this - it'll be hard to find better unless you catch them yourself and eat them right there on the beach. No bookings though, and it's usually packed too. So be prepared to wait at the bar before being seated.
