Daikoku (Teppan-Yaki) Quay St

Fun night here with the kids, good food and fast service. We were a little squashed in at out table but better than our group being split. Our chef was friendly and interacted with the kids. Food was yummy the only criticism is that it came out in a strange order, the kids had to wait a long time for their mains and for the younger ones they find it hard. Would be cool if the cooked and dished up the kids food first.

We dined here on our last night in town as we were craving some Japanese food and wanted to stay close by to our hotel. Menu has pictures so it helped us narrow down our selections. Our food was delicious; we ordered a fair amount for variety. Only comment is we had thought it would have been too much food for us but portions made it ‘just right’ overall. Very friendly staff who always tried to help entertain our toddler.

Had a lovely experience there. Really like the lunch menu, it’s cheaper than the dinner one but it’s so good. Located at a convenient place, easy to find. Not many choices of parking though.

Potentially a little difficult to find the first time (I ended up asking at customer services), there is an external staircase around the corner from ASB (and Daikoku is located on top of ASB). They are open for lunch but not till 12pm during the week. They have a ramen / donburi menu for around $15 which was popular with a younger group that had come in. They also do the cook-at-the-table menu which they're famous for and which is a great experience. Definitely cheaper at lunch but starts from $17.50.

Excellent express lunch menu. Tasty and served quickly by great staff. Excellent atmosphere with your chef cooking at your table - what great entertainment.
