Classic Comedy Club

Great place to listen to comedy in central Auckland - the home of New Zealand and International acts. Can be hit and miss depending on the night, and on the headliners performing. Monday / Tuesday nights tend to be amateur evenings, Wed / Thurs a bit more professional, and Friday / Saturday the obvious headliner nights.

Ticket prices seem to hover around the $20 mark - but prices can vary based on the night / performers. I've seen some truly terrible "comedians" here (who didn't raise a laugh) but I've also seen some great up and coming performers (at the time) like The Boy With Tape on His Face. All were the same ticket price!

Intimate and small venue that holds about 60 - 80 people or so. Great for a work night out, or for a group of friends after dinner. There's an on-site bar, and I find alcohol does tend to make the night more enjoyable (you should always drink responsibly however). Occasionally there are hecklers - they just add to the fun!

Parking nearby at the Auckland Council Aotea Square carpark is inexpensive. There are a few good restaurants near the Classic, like the popular Tanuki's Cave japanese restaurant, that would be good locations for a pre-show dinner option.

One of the best value night's entertainment. The staff a fun and professional, drinks are priced well and the even the food is great. Go on- have a laugh!

The only dedicated comedy club I've been to in NZ and it's great! Always good comics, affordable and great atmosphere.

Great venue, the staff are great and a massive space for all types of shows. Even half full it feels packed. And cheap too!

This place is the only comedy club i've been to and i was impressed by the local talent. Great for a date night or with mates, and a really nice bar as well. Will be back in the future.
