Calliope Road Cafe

Had afternoon tea here once. Grabbed a long black with chocolate cake. Coffee was pretty good and the cakes were amazing. Service is prompt and friendly.

Really tasty menu especially the bang bang chicken and Thai sausage rolls. Really good coffee and friendly service also.

Great cafe away from the main strip of Devonport. If your not afraid of a big hill It’s a nice walk up from the ferry terminal. Good coffee and kids area

We make the trip as a family to this café every few weeks since we found it about a year ago. It’s a hidden gem. We have always been delighted with the food and the coffee. There’s empty plates all round every visit. Their food is superb, the coffee is great and the staff are friendly and quick. Plus they don’t mind going that extra bit further when we have a special request (my wife is on a gluten free diet and she loves her options here). We also love the cafes location and after our meal we follow the stunning view down Huia Street and along the waterfront back to the ferry and shops.

Beautiful landscape gardens on street outside cafe, bright and colourful, thanks to a local lady, who does this by herself , all credit to her. Thanks for beautifying the surroundings.
