Cafe Miko

On a gorgeous sunny Spring day walking the dogs and deciding to have an outdoor impromptu picnic, we ordered a chicken Miko pizza with berry smoothie to enjoy on the front lawn of The Gardens.

The pizza was simple yet fantastic, with a thin crispy base, lots of chicken and a tomato base. Our smoothies were delicious too, creamy and yoghurt with a vibrant berry flavour.

Not only was our lunch amazing, but takeaway soy lattes from Miko were great too. I was very pleasantly surprised and satisfied!

On our recent trip to Auckland Botanic Garden, we had chai lattes from this lovely cafe situated at the entrance of the garden. The particular thing I enjoyed was this sweet muffin we ordered which was a combo of white chocolate and one other ingredient, the name of which I have forgotten. The taste of this muffin is still there in my mouth.I'm usually not a muffin person but this particular muffin -I liked so much that I can eat 3 to 4 at once. I want to thank the staff members and the food preparation team for the beautiful service and food. Definitely recommended.

Great place for the core reason to come here: the gardens. Forget the cafe though. Poor service, bland food and below average coffee.

With a few hours to spare before returning our rental car to the airport, we decided to visit Aucklands botanic gardens and ended our visit with a family lunch at Cafe Miko. It has such a happy and relaxed atmosphere with lovely staff. We sat with a view of the gardens and really enjoyed the food. Highly recommend.
