Bridgeway Cinemas

Love Bridgeway, great friendly staff. Love their boysenberry ice-cream. They show great movies and have a good range of food to eat. Nice and tidy.

I used to go to the Bridgeway Theatre, as a child. It was the busiest, and only cinema, in the area, so it was always a full house. In later years, patronage dwindled, and nearly closed, but it was purchased by people who had a vision for it, and they resurrected this brilliant theatre, by mainly showing classic movies (although not all the time) and festival-type movies. The staff are really nice and the theatre has a nice ambience to it. It is a unique experience. Highly recommended.

Bought thru Grabone... will never return. They insisted on id for my son who was 14, altho movie was R13, I tried to allow them check his id from school web, but she said "No". I had to return next day, to find out staff gave me tickets to wrong movie. They fixed it, then when we went into room, nobody was even there to chk any id.... so whats the point?? Such a waste of my time.
Plus all room was small, I had to shut the door coz hallway light was shining in!! Such bad service.

The atmosphere here is amazing. I wouldn't say it's for "older people" at all but more those who appreciate the classic movie-going experience and express interest in all types of film.

Great cinema, they have the best movies. Their is great beautiful cafe next door.
