I booked my car in for a wof and service and half way through the day got a phone call saying it would fail on its back brakes I asked what it would cost and was told about 100 dollars for the replacement pads. I agreed to this and at the end of the day went to pick up my car and got hit with a 580 bill as I was informed the discs needed skimming as well and an air filter was needed which was not mentioned when I got the call. After reluctantly paying the bill I drove my car home and put in the garage. The next time I backed the car out I noticed a huge pool of oil under the car and on inspection found the oil sump bolt had only been hand tightened so the oil had run out and stained my garage floor. I rang the shop who basically offered for me to drop by the store to check the work they had done, they did not even offer to reimburse me for the oil I had to buy so I could drive my car again.
The back brakes seemed fine at first however after a week have started squealing and causes brake shudder at low speeds, I will go to another garage to see what can be done to fix this problem.
Expensive service at a very poor quality would not recommend to anyone after the experience I have just had
I paid good money for the service a

Bridgestone Select parnell is not good for mechanical repair. However, I still rate them 2 star as the staff is nice and they proposed a partial refund.
The problem is: Engine and dashboard lights pulse, idle and driving.
They charged me about 230 for initial checking and replace of a PCV hose. But it did not fix it, the exact same problem occurred when I picked up the car. They would charge me more money to further diagnose the problem. I talked to them several times in following days and finally their senior manager rang me and proposed: If I go and replace the PCV hose back with the old one, I can get 125 back.
Finally it got fixed in Portage Wheel Aligning. I paid 335 to replace the alternator with a used one and the problem disappears.
What I don't like :
1) charge for initial diagnosis with the promise of find out the problem(but cannot make it).
2) charge to replace sth but not fixing the problem.
