Went to Blue Elephant Thai, Parnell, on Valentines Day. I really enjoyed the meals that we ordered and the staff made a yellow curry which wasn’t on the menu-much appreciated. However, some of the service was a bit slow, but may be due to the busy holiday. Reasonably priced and good food, would definitely recommend.

We tried the entree lunch combo & thoroughly enjoyed the options. The food was piping hot & freshly prepared & smelt delicious. The mains was brought out one first & plenty of minutes later the second mains for another person came out. By then the first meal had cooled down considerably hence I felt the entire should come simultaneously & the mains should be prepared & served or brought to the table at exactly the same time.Worth to try. Will be back.

We ordered a red duck curry and a chicken green curry. My preference for food is often more on the savory side, I really enjoyed my red duck curry despite it being more sweet. My dish was sweet, tangy and packed with duck and pineapples. The green green curry has an abundance of chicken and vegetables, I thought the green curry was more delicious than the red curry as it was more savoury. The only thing that I would change is switching out the chicken breast for chicken thighs as it's a more tender cut. Just as a side note, the curry doesn't come with rice which most other places do, so don't forget to add that. The atmosphere and decor was traditional and lights were dim. The service was top notch and I felt it was authentic. Overall, I'd go back for the experience again.
