Great place for a drink. Awsome upstairs, toilets available and another bar so your not walking up and down the stairs and great staff and music. Place to be on a friday night after work

Food was very yummy - we had scollops, karage chicken adn a chicken burger. Unfortunately the restaurant was so busy (7.30pm on a Friday night) that we had to keep calling the wait staff over for water, drinks and then to oder. Food took nearly an hour to arrive. The restauarant was also too loud for my partner and I to have a conversation due to the bar part of it packed with people drinking.

My family and I have enjoyed each time we have visited. Menus for lunch and dinner were broad in choices, fresh and delicious. Friendly service.

Basalt has a great vibe (if you're young) and looks lovely. The food is like high quality pub food, it's okay but probably a bit expensive considering what you get. Great if you're a local!

Delicious food and atmosphere. Good range of well-priced beers. Totally recommend.
