2017 has been an eventful year for me with dentalcare work. Had a bit of health scare with sensitive teeth in June because I initially went to another practice for convinience, and was told I needed a deep clean because my gum was weak and diseased!? However, I had my doubts (i.e. with pink firm looking gums) I went to my usual dental centre (Avondale Dental) for a second consultation and found out it was nothing of the sort!! I was so happy! I had a good clean from my usual hygenist and was reassured. Although, she didn't pick up on the real underlying issue with the sensitivity with one of the teeth as I had sinus induced sensitivity, it was a very good experience.
On my subsequent visit, this month, I finally found out what was causing the remaining issue with my it, which was a bit of swollen gum in the front. It was very sensitive and had subsequently simmered down to swollen gum before I found out there was an absess after my recent trips. I was concerned, although there was no pain, so I decided a proper check up with the dentist was due. I was so glad I did as I found out what the problem was. Dentist was very helpful with relieving me of the issue, explaining and answering my question on if I could have help adverted the course of an inflammation that surprisingly originated from an accident 15+ years ago. I couldn't believe something so far back could and have only developed into an issue these past months.

I needed a check-up and tried Avondale Dental as they were closer to home than my normal dentist. Amy was my dentist and she was very thorough - she explained everything she was doing, was super calm and helpful and it was a pretty quick and easy experience. It's a quality dental practice, they'll be my usual from now on.
