The Auckland City Mission provides free social services to struggling Aucklanders, including: - Food for individuals, families and community foodbanks - Support for older people and the homeless - Drug and alcohol detoxification services - Healthcare - Advocacy - Food parcels and gifts at Christmas - Annual Christmas lunch for 2000 people To continue providing its services, the Mission relies on donations of food & goods and the generosity of the Auckland public to support its fundraising campaigns. The Mission also raises funds through its New Beginnings shops in the CBD, Glen Innes, and Takapuna, where donated goods that are excess to requirements are sold. these guys are great, helping the homeless with with food banks and social services,they do a fantastic job and need all the help they can get all year round but more so in winter,big thumbs up to the city mission

A fantastic non government organisation based in the central city. They have free food, a food bank and wonderful staff to help with people living rough on the streets, or homeless, or in need of food.

Have volunteered here before, I found the place a bit disorganised but I really appreciate all the work that is done here.
