The Auckland City Mission provides free social services to struggling Aucklanders, including: - Food for individuals, families and community foodbanks - Support for older people and the homeless - Drug and alcohol detoxification services - Healthcare - Advocacy - Food parcels and gifts at Christmas - Annual Christmas lunch for 2000 people To continue providing its services, the Mission relies on donations of food & goods and the generosity of the Auckland public to support its fundraising campaigns. The Mission also raises funds through its New Beginnings shops in the CBD, Glen Innes, and Takapuna, where donated goods that are excess to requirements are sold. A lovely place to support needy people especially in CBD area. Love how they serve Christmas meals to needy people. We love dropping food to them when supporting people around. May affect households or shops around its address as people may gather around that spot which is totally understood. (please note that it has temporarily been moved to Union Street Auckland CBD).

Great community service offered to Aucklanders. They have volunteering opportunities as well.

Have volunteered here before, I found the place a bit disorganised but I really appreciate all the work that is done here.
