Ark Coffee

Tucked down an alleyway near the new 'department store' is this gem of a coffee shop. These guys and girls are serious about coffee and roast a range of beans, refreshingly they are keen to acknowledge the communities who provide the beans.
Amazingly friendly ladies behind the counter, you can also browse a great range of nerdy coffee accessories. The snacks are also well thought out and compliment coffee rather than overwhelm your palate with sugar.

Cannot recommend enough.

(According to me) This is officially the best coffee in Auckland. If you drink espresso rather than milk-based drinks then this is the best shot, followed closely-ish by Kokako. Trust me.

These guys roast a changing range of bean on-site, the result is so intense, it is like an outer-body experience. Your average espresso is normally fairly wattery with muddied flavours that are hard to discern. Ark, Kokako and a few others are just on another level. Please try this place, so so good.

Situated on the main stretch in takapuna, parking nearby can be a bit difficult. The coffee here is absolutely fantastic that I sometimes order two, and another to go!

Hidden deep inside and hard to find but worth looking for. They have great coffee!

Loved this place. Firstly the coffee was great. Had a shorty. Nicely balanced. The big kicker for me is just the feel of it. The atmosphere they have is created is awesome although I am finding it hard to articulate why. Highly recommend
