Not only do we create great garden designs but we have a plant nursery to supply you with all the plants you need at wholesale prices. 

We can arrange to have your landscaping installed but we do encourage you to become involved with the planting and maintenance so you get to enjoy the rewards that so many gardeners already experience.

Ardmore Nurseries - Growing for landscapers &amp; retailers for over 45 years. We currently produce over 380,000 plants with a wide range of evergreens, deciduous trees and shrubs, natives, ferns, climbers, perennials, and some fruits. Our huge variety, with over 400 different plant varieties are grown in a range of sizes from 1.2L pots through to 45L pots. From April through to September we also lift field grown plants which are sold either bare rooted or with the root balls wrapped in hessian. Customers have the luxury of being able to self-select plants by driving around our nursery, which makes it much quicker and easy to get in and out of the nursery. We also offer a range of delivery options on either our own truck or via a carrier. Ardmore Nurseries is a certified plant producer under the New Zealand plant production biosecurity scheme. We are not open to the general public (wholesale B2B only).

Welcome to Ace Mondo - the Matamata nursery that specialises in growing Mondo grasses and Liriopes for the wholesale and retail markets. We supply both potted and bare root forms in a variety of grades. Mondo grasses are a staple for many garden styles, while Liriopes are a desirable landscape plant due to their tolerance of a variety of conditions. A family owned and operated business since 1967; Van Lier Nurseries has almost half a century of cut flower propagation and cultivation behind us and offer New Zealands most comprehensive knowledge base on cut flower propagation. Here at Van Liers we have the largest range of rose varieties in NZ for you to choose from, including the exclusive David Austin Roses. With over 10 different types of flowers grown onsite we are able to offer you the widest range of product direct from the grower.

Our thorough quality control process ensures that you receive top quality flowers every time. In the height of summer your roses are picked up to three times a day to ensure that the flower is consistently picked at the right stage of opening.  Throughout the process of picking through to packing each flower completes four quality checks to ensure straightness and strength of the stems; no head damage; the absence of pests and diseases; and head tightness. We bunch your product daily to supply only the freshest product!

COMPANY HISTORY

Van Lier Nurseries is a family owned business that has been producing and selling quality flowers and plants to the New Zealand and International wholesale markets for over fifty years. While our range of cut flowers is extensive, our trademark flower is the rose. We currently have 1.5 hectares of glasshouse planted with over 35 varieties of roses, ensuring a consistently large supply of an array of quality roses. We are proud to have it place us as the largest rose grower in the North Island of New Zealand and the second largest in the country.

Initially carnations were the first cut flower product grown. 1974 saw the introduction of roses which became the major focus of our business in the early 80s. Subsequently we have added Alstroemeria, Florinca, Green Magma, Gypsophila, Helleborus, Limonium, Parzival, Solidago, Statice and Zanzibar Foliage to our range. A further diversification was made when Van Lier Nurseries expanded into propagation. We now produce a variety of plants and are the sole provider of carnation cuttings in New Zealand.

Van Lier Nurseries has two locations in Auckland. This enables us to achieve distribution of the freshest produce quickly and efficiently through a dedicated Flower Freight service, couriers and air transport. A second nursery located in Riverhead was built when the business was expanded in 2001. A Faber glasshouse of approximately 1 hectare with gas heating and a computer controlled environment is a representation of Van Lier Nurseries commitment to the utilisation of modern technology to guarantee reliable production. Our New Zealand produced flowers and plants have not travelled thousands of kilometres and are grown with minimum pesticides.
