About Wanganui District Council - Awa City Clubhouse

Awa City Clubhouse provides a creative and safe out-of-school learning environment where young people from our community work with adult mentors to explore their own ideas, develop new skills, and build confidence in themselves through the use of technology. The Clubhouse is open Monday - Friday from 3pm - 7pm, during the school term and 1pm - 5pm, during school holidays. It is free for young people aged 10 - 18 years!
In the Clubhouse imagination is the limit!

Awa City Clubhouse is part of the Intel Computer Clubhouse Network which is an international community of 100 Computer Clubhouses located in 19 countries, providing youth with life-changing opportunities for over 20 years.
The Computer Clubhouse mission is to provide a creative and safe out-of-school learning environment where young people work with adult mentors to explore their own ideas, develop new skills, and build confidence in themselves through the use of technology.
Using the "original" Clubhouse as a model, the Computer Clubhouse Network supports community-based Clubhouses around the world, providing over 25,000 youth per year with access to resources, skills, and experiences to help them succeed in their careers, contribute to their communities, and lead outstanding lives.
