I had an excellent experience at the end of May when I went in to complete my paperwork for my full license and to sit the actual practical test. The VTNZ store was packed with customers and despite this everything ran smoothly and the staff were extremely efficient in their handling of the busy time. They were friendly and calm and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. They were superb at prioritizing customers to ensure speed of service. For people like myself, who had to have done the paperwork by a certain time they had us go first but also ensured people who weren't there for urgent matters weren't waiting for long.
I took my car in for a warrant last week. During the time it took to get from the front door to that exit one of the staff managed to break the drivers door handle. The manage refused to accept any responsibility for the damage done nor any liability. He kept saying 'a little plastic clip has broken inside the door for which we cannot be held responsible'. The handle was actually broken. snapped off at its pivot point. Talking to spares suppliers this NEVER breaks. It is a robust piece of kit and must have been badly mishandled to have incurred such damage.
So be warned people, don't expect any compensation or recompense if your vehicle gets scratched or damaged in any way whilst in their tender loving care. It's just not their fault.
It's no good posting a complaint on the parent company's website either because they do not have the moral courage to reply , not even acknowledge registration of a complaint. They just hope you'll shut up and go away. Well VTNZ it ain't happening.
