Sadly this particular Valentines has really run itself down in the last year or so. I"ve been a few times with friends, and been disappointed both times. Food choices are limited, and the food tastes like it's been recycled. Hard potatoes. Overcooked chips. Foul salads. The best food choices here are the desserts and cups of tea / coffee (included), in my opinion.
It's a shame, because some other Valentines are really nice - like the one on the North Shore, and Pakuranga. This western Valentines is possibly the worst of all.
Went to dine out Henderson Restaurant on our wedding anniversary on Thursday 23rd [23/10/14].....Came to my surprise the food was not to the Restaurant standard....Prawns looks old....Sweet corn you can tell its old and re-heated again, the pizza?? Steak was not a proper steak....it was Schnitzel steak and too dry....You can tell that they are trying to cut down the menus....The mince balls were too salty and dry.....with this new management the food standard just went downhill....Before there were varieties....If you wanted to attract more customers please improve your standard....This is not India where you can give us old food and pay you for nothing.....Please try and improve your standard...I will let others know because I am so disappointed with the food....not to mention the pork ribs was not cook to perfection...was it steamed???
Would give zero stars if this was an option, food is always old looking, cold, dry & flavourless and they charge so much for it! Kids room had a wooden post and that was it! Won't be going back ever again :(
DO NOT DINE HERE!!! Not the same Valentines of old. Standards have substantially dropped, service is mediocre & the food?... Well, caught the cook/server recycle uneaten food from a customers plate that was cleared by a waitress. Staff didn't care as if it was protocol. We left. Upon leaving, ladies at front desk told us what the bill was ($90.70) as I swiped my card. Wrong pin, different card, asked for a Valentines receipt as I swiped the correct card. 1st eft pos receipt $90.70, 2nd eft pos receipt after asking for a Valentines receipt? $82.70. Have kept proof. It may be just $8 but imagine how many customers they've done this too who haven't asked for receipts. Dine at your peril but you've been warned. ZERO STARS!!!
