I recently ordered a small timber product from China and their chosen method of freight was UPS. Straight forward from China to Auckland where it was held for fumigation. When this had been completed UPS contacted me for payment, which I did on the spot and was told that the package would be delivered overnight to a Christchurch address. I asked if I could change the delivery address and was told a definite 'NO'. This is where everything went wrong due to the incompetence of this one employee. Two weeks later (not overnight as I was told) and after many phone calls to the manager.............I finally received the package. I will be instructing the business in China not to use UPS now, or in the future. A very frustrating two weeks.
