Don't use these guys they are absolutely terrible and don't even rate 1 star.
I totally regret my decision to use this company and cannot understand how they are still operating. I have been left totally out of pocket and have been provided with items that were damaged by them and items that were not at all consistent with what was ordered.
They have been arrogant, ignorant and have directly lied throughout my dealings with them and even when faced with 100% evidence of their many mistakes they have refused to admit responsibility for their own incompetence.
I contacted TTJ early in January 2015 to discuss engaging them on replacement works as part of the renovations of my home and prior to the end of January had placed an order with them for the supply of a double hung sash window + jamb and internal door + jamb. The confirmed delivery date for these items was agreed as the 1st April.
My basic but simple instructions to TTJ was to remake the double hung sashes + jamb in exactly the same dimensions and style as the originals (only being remade to upgrade to double glazed). I removed the existing set of windows + jamb and delivered them to the TTJ factory to be used as an exact template. I also made it explicitly clear to TTJ that due to the age of my home all works need to match the existing style of the home and therefore not look out of place with the rest of building and it was clearly stated and agreed that apart from losing the profiling on the windows as a result of the double glazing the windows would remain exactly the same.
The incredible amount of mistakes is simply mind blowing. TTJ clearly has decided to make just whatever they wanted because it clearly was not at all the same as the original.
The items that were produced by them were not dimensionally correct when compared with the originals in almost every dimension. Errors were not just mm but by cm or more and each time these had to be sent back to TTJ and changed and in some instances completely remade. When asked how they were so incorrect TTJ continued to assert that these items had been made to the originals but did not still have the original to use as proof. Unfortunately for TTJ the existing sill (rebated for original jamb and clear indicator of size) and window opening clearly showed that the items produced by TTJ and which could not actually even physically fit into the existing opening due to incorrect height, width and depth and many other various errors. I strongly suggested to TTJ to visit and view for themselves the existing window layout etc but they declined, even though I clearly stated that if I was in error as asserted, that I would be naturally be happy to pay for any alterations.
When for the final time (when my patience had run out) these items were received, they also were in a damaged condition and had they been held together by glue and screws without even attempting to hide the damage.
The door that was also part of this order was made correctly but the door jamb had to be returned to TTJ to be altered as the jamb width was incorrect and that they had used the wrong size, style and colour hinges.
The final delivery date of my order was almost exactly 6 months after the initial deposit was paid. The only thing TTJ was consistent about was the ability to make mistake followed by mistake throughout this entire experience with them and then deny that they had in fact made a mistake. I was told by TTJ that these mistakes were of my own making and that this was because I had altered things. At no time were they instructed to make anything but the original.
