I've dined here quite a few times now, and each time different, the last time I couldnt eat my main as the steak just was not nice...However other times I've been it's been wonderful....the service always seems great but if really busy then expect a long delay. BUT......it is one of the better places to eat out in in New Plymouth
I dined out here for a birthday party and were well served and enjoyed the "posh" decor and surroundings. This restaurant oozes atmosphere with candles, subdued lighting (which got dimmed progressively as the night wore on) and massive flower arrangements on the table. The meal was perfect (i chose the Scotch Fillet) . The breads though were average with only one type of bread, no garlic or herb bread available and only a few olives (which i don't like) olive oil and a hummus mixture for spreads.
The wait staff were perfect in what they did, couldn't fault them but I just came away thinking how wooden they were, devoid of all personality and really uninterested in us as people. Sure they did their job impeccably but I expected more somehow, at least some interaction or a smile
