A very funky and stylish looking cafe along the Kingsland strip, offering great coffee and impressive sweets and savoury items in the display cabinet.
Whilst the coffee cups are gorgeous and extremely well branded, the sizes and pricing leave a lot to be desired. A large sized coffee should not come in a standardly typical medium sized cup. I could appreciate this if the ancient Incans had just harvested the coffee beans, but they didn't and a cute yellow cardboard recepticle with a quirky monster on it, most definitely doesn't justify inflated pricing!
Nonetheless, it's a cute cafe and that's my rant on too clever marketing lol
Funky, relaxed environment, a comfortable dining setting. I had halumi, tomato, avo on toast and a berry smoothie which i couldnt complain about but wouldnt say was amazing. I dont drink coffee but my friends said theirs was amazing. Would probably return.
Only one star as we left without getting to try anything. Firstly surprised by how grungy aka grimey it was, then just rude service - we moved tables from a clean to dirty table simply because we have a young child and the better spot for parking the buggy became free. Staff member was blatantly annoyed at having to clear the table.
Went here on Sunday. I had grilled Haloumi bruchetta and the boss had chicken tacos. Chicken tacos with mango salsa were amazing but my bruchetta was very very average and only had two measly strips of haloumi on top. I miss the Breakfast brochette that used to be on the menu - this one didn't stack up at all!
